LESSON TYPES

2hr Assessment Lesson
My first lesson with all new pupils is a 2hr assessment.
This includes an introduction to the driving school and training structure, and gives the opportunity for any pupil questions. Beginners will get their first experience of driving on the road.
With the more experienced learner, the lesson is used to assess the skills you already have and advise on future training needs.

Standard Lessons

My recommendation for a standard lesson is 1½hrs. This has been found to be more beneficial to the pupil, enabling them to maintain concentration levels whilst maximising learning potential.
However, no pupil is the same and lessons can be structured according to individual needs.

Refresher Lessons

Useful for those who already have their licence but have either lost confidence or feel they have not gained sufficient experience on the roads. Refresher lessons cover all aspects of driving and are available to all ages, no matter how old your licence.

Specific Training Lessons

These lessons are for experienced drivers who feel they would benefit from further tuition with specific driving skills, for example reverse parking, driving in the dark or dual-carriage way and motorway driving.

Intensive & Semi-Intensive Courses

The arrangement of these courses would depend on the amount of previous driving experience.
I would recommend a maximum of 6hrs tuition daily, over a period of six days for a complete beginner. More information is available on request.

Pass Plus Courses

The pass plus scheme has been introduced to encourage new drivers, who have just passed their test, to undertake more advanced driving techniques not covered in the driving test. The course is available to all ages but is of particular benefit to young drivers as a certificate of completion will reduce insurance premiums. The pass plus course is currently being subsidised by Suffolk County Council to the sum of £75 for drivers aged between seventeen and nineteen, living in Suffolk.
